According to New York City’s Jazz Gazette, "All About Jazz", The Mara Rosenbloom Quartet “plays music that renders believable a future for jazz.” A Madison native, Rosenbloom and her quartet will be performing hits from the group’s premier release "School of Fish", as well as showcasing new music for their upcoming album "Songs from the Ground".

In August, 2009, Christian was ranked (for the third time) as the #2 violinist in the Downbeat Critics Poll “Rising Stars”. Says All About Jazz ,”as a jazz violinist he has no peer”. The Minneapolis Tribune called Christian ”arguably the most intriguing young violinist in jazz”.
