Noted for his hard swinging style and deeply soulful and expressive sound, jazz saxophonist Patrick Terbrack is beginning to make his mark on the Chicago jazz scene. Having already performed with seasoned veterans and jazz legends Willie Pickens, Rodney Whitaker, Benny Golson, and Jimmy Heath, Patrick is stepping away from his role as a sideman and embracing his role as a bandleader. An equally gifted saxophonist and composer Patrick is the recipient of numerous awards. In 2009 he was voted Outstanding Musician of the Elmhurst jazz Festival and his original composition 6 Here 12 There won the 2008 Signature Songwriters Competition. Four of Patrick’s original compositions, including 6 Here 12 There, are featured on his debut album “Invitation”. Having recently recorded his debut album, Invitation, Patrick Terbrack is hard at work touring and performing all over the United States with either his quintet featuring some of Chicago’s best musicians or with the NY based band the Delisfort Project. Patrick has performed with Benny Golson, Curtis Fuller, Jimmy Heath, Jimmy Cobb, Rodney Whitaker, Lou Solof, John Faddis, Wycliffe Gordon, Jon Hendrix, Marcus Belgrave, Eric Reed, The Gerald Wilson Big Band, and The Milton Mustafah Big Band.
